So these new releases and helping B with his army design/painting has really inspired me to collect an Eldar army. However I don't just want to amass every unit in the Codex and use the models that GW provides. Instead I am going to make this army my ultimate conversion army. I will vow to make it almost entirely out of Plastic bitz and start to learn how to cast my own resin parts to convert particular units.
I found an AMAZING post that has inspired me to do this task but I won't release my sources.... haha!
So after about 90% of my Nids are painted and battle hardened, it is official that Eldar will be my next army!
So my first order of business is to write a 2000 point list and work to layout designs and bitz accordingly.

OH REALLY?
Granted you have the rest of your Nids to paint before this really takes off, what are the plans for this Craftworld?
What theme are you thinking of using? Is there a particular look you would like to achieve? Thought of a backstory for them yet?
Also, you sly fox, molding and casting aspirations eh? Keep in mind three things:
1. Read the material's MSDS sheet some of the mold/casting materials out there can be toxic/carcinogenic and the materials sheet (I didn't know the first batch of molding material I bought needed to be degassed after mixing with a vacuum sealer device, so it's sitting on a shelf),
2. Planning is key, and
3. Your first mold/cast might end in tears.
But you're the crafty careful type so I have no doubt everything will turn out well.
Keep us posted!
My plans are thus....
1) Design new craftworld symbol...
2) Make up Craftworld name & style of combat... I plan on developing my Craftworld as one of the craftworlds that has been lost in the Webway while enroute to the far reaches of the once former Eldar empire. They get lost in the labyrinth and travel through a spot in the Webway where time is slowed down and time in the material universe accelerates. The Craftworld appears 10,000 years later having departed shortly before the fall, into a piece of space far from their original course. They were originally sent to provide protection and military support for the various outlying coloines accross the edges of the Eldar empire, therefore the Craftworld relies upon lots of Aspect Warriors and vehicles to strike with speed and avengence. They will rarely utilize the fallen spirits of their ancestors to animate Wraith constructs believing that their ancestors should only be called upon at the darkest hour. I see this Craftworld as a mini Biel-Tan/Saim-Hann, very aggressive and territorial, seeking to bring death and destruction upon the enemies of the fallen empire.
3) Develop paint scheme...
4) Buy a kit of Guardians to test my scheme...
5) Start laying out what bits I will need for each conversion and plan accordingly. Basically I have some that I will need (Wood Elf bits) but I might need bits from High Elf, Dark Eldar, and various other kits to complete my Eldar. Especially with the new Dark Eldar I can see lots of conversions possible (Wychs = Banshees, Warriors = Bad Ass Dire Avengers/Guardians).
6) Lastly in the planning stage is to learn how to cast my own molds. J do you have any suggestions as far as where to get some information or tutorials for casting? I want to start by casting my own bases first since I figured that might be an easier task then my other plans. How did you start J? What should I buy/acquire to start?
I THOUGHT YOU'D NEVER ASK!
Alright, let me try something and I'll actually put it into a post for easier reference.
In the meantime:

This is by far the most friendly website I've run into so far BUT it can be really overwhelming. Look around there to see possibilities but give me until tomorrow to get my post together.
